Based on South Florida, Homero Gallardo, a virtuoso guitar player born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. At the age of 9, Homero began playing classical music and just 3 years later was performing professionally in clubs and festivals in his hometown of Guayaquil. He quickly became known as a talented performer, winning many of his high school’s music performance contests. At the age of 16, he had the privilege to perform with top Latin artists such as Fonseca (Colombia), Jeremias (Venezuela), and for Miss Guayaquil with Los De Adentro (Colombia). As a teen he enjoyed experimenting with many different styles of music such as rock, pop, latin, funk, jazz, classical and fusion all while touring with his band Maddera throughout Ecuador. Homero decided to move to Miami, Florida to enroll in Broward College’s music program where in the first semester of his schooling he placed first in Broward’s Jazz Combo and later earned a scholarship with the jazz ensemble. During his time Homero performed with the legendary jazz saxophone player, Tim Warfield, has had many performances with Jason Hainsworth’s Jazz Big Band and in addition, has represented Broward College as a Music Major performing on NBC Channel 6 News South Florida. Outside of his performances at Broward, Homero became heavily involved with South Florida’s Music scene accompanying Latin stars on TV appearances such as Thalia, Luis Fonsi, Ilegales, Ednita Nazario, Tito Nieves, Chino Y Nacho and performing with hundreds of bands such as Sekond Nature, Bryan Gonzalez, Nigh Horizon, Yoni’s Band, Smooth Ish, Expresso Music Entertainment, Flavor, Nikki Kidd Band, Tairon Latin band, his own band The HG Project, and much more. Homero’s dedication and experience have allowed him to master many different styles of music such as, jazz, rock, progressive, classical, pop, latin, funk, salsa, fusion along with many other styles. He has also worked with many studio-recording projects, working with artists such as, Sugar Man Producer, Shack in the Back Productions, Shauna Sweeney, Ellen Bukstel, Sekond Nature. He is grateful that he’s been able to accomplish so much doing what he loves and is excited for the new opportunities ahead of him. Homero is currently working with his own band The HG Project and performing with different bands throughout the states.
